Pin Young is a versatile actress who enjoys both comedic and dramatic roles and is able to play a wide age range. She does primarily on-camera work but also likes the excitement of live theatre.

Pin began performing at the age of 3, when she sang solos in a children's choir. An accomplished musician and credentialed music teacher, she has been playing violin since the age of 6. Pin can play any Western instrument convincingly on camera as well be an instrumental and conducting consultant. She has been teaching private violin lessons since the age of 14 and has since been teaching viola, music theory, conducting, and piano privately as well. Pin lives in Los Angeles and is available nights and weekends and during winter, spring, and summer breaks for projects in Southern California.

*Lead role in "London, Her Witch, and Her Wardrobe ", produced by X for the San Diego 48 Hour Film Project.

*Supporting role as a translator for the Triads (Chinese mafia) in the film The High Tower, produced by Grey Sand Entertainment. The film's premiere will be in September (date and time TBA) at the San Diego Museum of Photographic Arts. Go to the Facebook event page for more info and to RSVP. *Final Round won the Star Award for Independent Drama over 30 minutes and Necessary Measures won the Creative Achievement Award for Independent Drama under 30 minutes at the El Cajon Video and Film Festival.

*Mozlym, the feature film in which Pin plays a large supporting role as a devout Muslim, Chinese-Malaysian college girl, won Audience Favorite Honorable Mention at the Riverside International Film Festival. The film is produced by Scimitar Productions and will eventually be released on television and DVD in the U.S. and Great Britain. Mozlym might be coming to a festival near you! *./shutdown , the weekly web comedy series in which Pin stars as lesbian geek girl Hally, has reached over 1 million views and has been watched in 136 countries across all 6 continents (Antarctica excluded). The series is currently on hiatus. Season Two is undergoing rewrites and is slated to premiere in Fall 2008. Look forward to a completely revamped website with the premiere! *Supporting role in the short film "misconception". Director Jeremy Root had seen various projects that Pin has done and liked her work. He sent her his script and offered her the role. The film is currently being submitted to festivals.
